They tried to bring this in in Glasgow almost directly after the smoking ban- completely taking the piss. It eventually got shouted down, but really, what to these people think of us??
That said I think its still in force in nightclubs. Having hardly set foot in one since March last year I can't confirm whether this is the case or not.
Glasgow city council are an absolute nightmare. The council tax is sky high, drinking in public is illegal and you can only drink in a beer garden till 9pm. Nightclubs have a 2am curfew after which if you leave for any reason you're not getting back in. I also heard the council are investigating banning smoking on streets except in designated shelters. Time to move to Prague methinks.... _________________

I heard a while back that a few MP?s were threatened with knee capping, see this done on tele once, person was made to sit, then his leg was put straight on a very solid surface and the knee cap was hit at full force with a sledge hammer, ouch, I am not one for violence, But with the council tax, no public drinking not drinking out side after 9pm (what about having a fag) I am very surprised that no one did not carry out the capping.
For Gods sake Glasgow city council are a very bad lot of people, they seem to treat you like children, and you have no rights, it seems like a police state, very worrying. I like it in Prague too.
